The Grill Room | A Yale Club Restaurant Brand Identity
Two rooms with a view.
As part of a 10 year Master Plan to improve its offerings to members and keep its 100 year old building in top condition, The Yale Club of New York City embarked on major architectural renovations of its two historic dining facilities – The Tap Room and The Grill Room. At the same time they enlisted the Bernhardt Fudyma Design Group to perform a graphic renovation of the branding for both restaurants. Using architectural renderings that showed how the new spaces would look, we created complementary brand identities for each and applied them to the many related dining room accoutrements, from menus to matchbooks, and coasters to check presenters.
As with most branding assignments, a number of designs were developed and presented for the Club’s consideration and selection. View the short animation above to see some of the logo options for the less-formal of the two facilities – the Grill Room – and how it evolved.
